Dn. Roshan Kullu, Sdb, Congregation of Salesian of Don Bosco was ordianed as a priest at St. Xavier's Catholic Church, Majhapara on 03 January 2016 by Most Rev. Niranjan Sualsingh, Bishop of Sambalpur. His motto is "I have called you by name, you are Mine" from the book of Prophet Isaiah 43:1. There were 30 priests who concelebrated the priestly ordination. More than 1000 faithful and many sisters were present to witness this ordination. With this dedicated and committed vibrant priest is added to the mission of Church and society. We are grateful to his parents who nurtured him and offered him to serve the church.
Most Rev. Niranjan focused his sermon on the duty and responsibility of a priest based on the qualities of our high priest Lord Jesus Christ. He said Jesus Christ is the Good shepherd who directed the people in right direction. He also mentioned that a priest should be a good shepherd, a prophet, and a good teacher. He urged the priest to know their sheep personally, read the signs and symbols of time and act diligently.
After the ordination cermony, there was felicitation programmes for the newly ordained priest as well as for others. It was sweet and short programme. People enjoyed the programme.
People were served food at the end of the programme.
